Introducing... the PASMA online training portal
24/3/20 - PASMA Training Members can now offer online PASMA training to their delegates. This has been launched as a direct response to the coronavirus crisis.
Book a delegate onto a course taking place up to 90 days in the future and we'll give them immediate online access to the theory session to complete at home. When they come to your centre (when it's once again safe to do so), you can skip straight to the written assessment and then work through the practical. This has a few benefits:
* Face-to-face contact between instructors and delegates is minimised
* If a delegate's PASMA Card is about to expire, we'll extend it for 90 days when they complete the online training
* You can continue to promote courses and secure future bookings during these uncertain times
How do I give my delegates access to the online course?
* Log into our Online Registration System and use the normal process to book a course that's taking place within the next 90 days
* Provide an email address for each delegate
* We'll email each delegate telling them how to access the theory session online
What does the online course consist of?
It's a series of videos, recorded by PASMA's Chris Smith. The content is the same as the normal classroom-based version of the courses.
Which courses can be done online?
We're starting with Towers for Users and Low Level Access, but we're working on the rest.
How will I know if a delegate has completed the online course?
We'll give them a certificate to prove that they’ve completed it. We'll share more details about this shortly.
What if the assessment and practical session can’t be completed within 90 days?
We will keep the 90-day limit under review. In the event that it needs to be extended, we will do so. You’d then be able to reschedule the course within the extended time limit.
We'll be doing everything we can to support our members over the coming months and these new online courses are just the start. We hope they help you weather these strange times we find ourselves in.
