New courses in Middle East

PASMA, the international not for profit authority for the mobile access tower industry, has launched three new training courses for end users in the Middle East. The courses - which are now available to book through local, approved PASMA training centres - are:

  • Low Level Access

  • Combined Low Level Access and Towers for Users

  • Work at Height Essentials

Low Level Access is a half-day course catering for users of low level access equipment such as podiums and pulpits which, if appropriate, can be combined with PASMA’s flagship training course, Towers for Users.

Work at Height Essentials, another half day course, focuses on the fundamentals of height safety - from ladders and mobile access towers to mobile elevating work platforms (MEWPs) and scaffolding.

The courses became available following a Professional Development Seminar held recently in Dubai (pictured above) – where local PASMA Instructors were trained to the highest standards based on the latest techniques, guidance and industry knowledge.

Comments PASMA’s Head of International Development, Sarah Nunn: “We work closely with government, safety organisations and industry across the region to promote safety and best practice. Professional training is an integral part of that process.”

“These courses, delivered by expert local instructors, will equip users with the knowledge and skills they need to keep safe when working at height - still a major cause of deaths and injuries in the workplace.”

Significantly, the Association has recently launched the PASMA Safety at Height Advisory Panel - a forum of industry experts dedicated to advancing height safety in the Middle East.
